The Product Doesn’t Matter

Many people think that as long as a good profit margin exists, the product that kids are selling won’t matter. However, people will always be more likely to purchase and re-purchase a high-quality product, even if it costs more upfront than something less expensive. Selling a great quality product for your product fundraising will make all of the difference.

The Best Fundraising Companies Offer the Highest Percentage

This misconception seems valid, as the fundraising company that offers the highest return on your sales should be better than one offering lower percentages. However, the percentage matters less than the quality of the product and the appeal of the product to the consumer. Low priced products that offer high percentages might seem appealing, but 50% of $6 is much less than 20% of a $70 order of a high-quality product.

Product Fundraising is Too Much Work

Some struggling schools worry that product fundraising is too much strain in terms of hours and volunteers.
